Speaker to address balance issues

BRYANT POND — Lissa Merrill, director of physical therapy at Stephens Memorial Hospital, will be guest speaker from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, at the Whitman Memorial Library.

Merrill will present information on “How to Keep Your Balance” and what programs the community offers. She will talk about “Matter of Balance” and “Staying on Your Feet.” Stephens Memorial Hospital offers a variety of programs, including “Staying Fit.”

Merrill’s program is aimed at those 60 and older, but all are welcome. There is no charge and light refreshments will be served.

Honey bee club to conduct workshop

PARIS — The Oxford Hills Honey Bee Club will conduct a workshop at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Oxford County Extension Center, 9 Olson Road.
