1929 – 2013

AUBURN — Romeo L. Lessard, 84, of Lewiston, passed away Thursday, Sept. 5, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.

He was born in Lewiston, May 24, 1929, son of the late Antonio and Marie Anna Morrissette Lessard. He married Theresa D. Provencher on July 3, 1954, at St. Louis Church in New Auburn. He attended Lewiston schools and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Romeo worked 24 years at Hill Mill and went on to work at Pioneer Plastics where he retired from in 1994. He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at Holy Family Church, American Legion Post 22 and the Franco American Post 31. He enjoyed making crafts and gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa, of Lewiston; three sons, Paul L. and wife, Mona, of Buckfield, Robert L. and wife, Joyce, and Richard N.L. and wife, Cindy, all of Greene; five grandchildren, Benjamin, Joshua, Laura, Trevor and Zachary; two great-grandchildren, Holdin and Lyedin; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; a grandson, Christopher Lessard; and a sister, Theresa Laflamme.
