1957 – 2013

FARMINGTON — Jamie Leblond, 56, of Farmington, died unexpectedly at Orchard Park Rehabilitation Center on Sunday, Sept. 8.

Jamie was born on Jan. 17, 1957, at Chanute Air Force Base, Rantoul, Ill., to Albert Leblond of East Winthrop and Norma Masterman Gore, formerly of Wilton, now of Apex, N.C.

Jamie lived in Omaha, Neb., most of her adult life, until June 2012, when she moved to Maine after being diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome. Stepmom Patricia Leblond and her daughter, Carrie Merrow, drove Jamie to Maine in June 2012, where Jamie spent the past 15 months in hospitals and nursing facilities.

Jamie loved learning, having received a law degree, an accounting degree and a political science degree. Jamie’s comfort came from her two cats she had for nearly 20 years, Sidnee and Frank.

While in Maine, Jamie was blessed with support from her stepmom, Mary Leblond of Texas; aunt, Jackie Smith of Topsham; cousin, April Hartford of Jay; stepsister, Carrie Merrow of Belgrade; and friends, Heidi Hess of Colorado, Vicki Kozak of Manchester and Cynthia Weeks of Omaha, Neb.
