LEWISTON — Noel “Dippy” Boudreau, 62, of Lewiston, formerly of Berwick and Hartford, Conn., died Wednesday, Sept. 4, at his home.
He was born in Hartford, Conn., on March 3, 1951, the son of the late Noel Boudreau and Barbara (Lynd) Kolosky. Noel served in the U.S. Army and the Army National Guard, retiring as staff sergeant, with a total of 12 years of service. He was exceptionally proud of his service as a paratrooper and airborne soldier.
Noel retired from Superior Carriers after many years of service as a truck driver. Noel will be lovingly remembered for his lifetime of self-teaching. He taught himself how to play blues guitar, and he loved to compose clever songs and jam for his family and friends. He was recently blessed by the love and encouragement of his brother and best friend, Fred Boudreau, to rediscover his passion for fishing.
Noel will be remembered for his selfless nature and willingness to lend a hand or ear to anyone in need. He was a unique and remarkable man, with an infectious laugh and eternally optimistic attitude.
Survivors include his ex-wife, Patricia (Levasseur) Boudreau; daughters, Nicole and her husband, Allan Sigouin, Michelle and her partner, Mark Cookson, Danielle and Rochelle; grandchildren, Nathan, Justin, Brinna, Aylee, Gemma and baby Daicey on the way; brothers, Alfred and his wife, Wanda, and Ted Kolosky and his wife, Susan, of Stafford Springs, Conn.; nieces and nephews, Gretchen Hallameyer, Sara Boudreau-Eck, Bear Boudreau and Levi Boudreau; and many loved stepbrothers, stepsisters, grandnieces and -nephews.
