I don’t know how many people are really overjoyed at the thought of having more, or better located, tattoo parlors in Lewiston, but I am not one of them.

But, since today’s society is willing to accept anything, I wouldn’t be surprised come Sept. 17 that our council members will accept a zoning change that will allow these businesses to locate anywhere.

The first should be anywhere on Lisbon Street, between Pine and Main streets. Since that area is a complete disgusting site, it would blend in perfectly what what’s being offered there now, as compared to what some of us remember and used to cherish.

My second choice would be the Bates Mill No. 5 building since they do not know what to do with it. With a nice big blinking sign on the roof, it would be a real attraction for residents or tourists to see as they enter our well-known city due to our drug activities, and, of course, our easily obtainable welfare programs.

Couldn’t let this go by without anyone saying anything about it, but as I stated before, I wouldn’t be surprised if approval is granted come Sept. 17.
