AUBURN — Therese R. Giguere, 88, of Schooner Estates in Auburn, and a former longtime resident of 23 Blake Street, Lewiston, died Friday, Sept.13, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice in Auburn.

Born in Lewiston on Sept. 16, 1924, she was the second of the five children of Donatien and Berthe Legendre Giguere. Educated at St. Peter’s School, she went on to graduate from St. Mary’s General Hospital School of Nursing in 1946 and then from the Mercy Hospital School of Anesthesia, Springfield, Mass., in 1957. She worked 57 years as a C.R.N.A. at St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston until her retirement in 1985. Therese loved to travel, especially with her friends from the nursing and ER staff at St. Mary’s. Over the years, she traveled all over the world, including Egypt, Israel, Russia, Hong Kong and many more places. A member of the former St. Joseph’s Parish.

She is survived by a brother, Paul Giguere of Rockville, Md.; a sister, Jacqueline Csoros of Lewiston; a sister-in-law, Constance Giguere of Phillipsburg, N.J.; and many nieces and nephews.
