1939 – 2013
LEWISTON — Evelyn L. Osborne, 74, of Industry, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Sept. 12, at Central Maine Medical Center.
She was born in Industry in 1939, the daughter of Freeman and Hazel Chick. She attended schools in West Mills and Farmington.
Evelyn met Bud at the age of 16 while working at Farmington Shoe, and they married on June 5, 1959. She also worked at Forsters Mfg. Co. in East Wilton.
She and Bud moved back to her home town of Industry in 1977 where they have had a farm ever since. Evelyn enjoyed gardening, taking care of her chickens and turkeys, and anything that had to do with spending time with her grandchildren.
Evelyn is survived by her husband of 54 years, Frank “Bud” Osborne; three sons, Frank O. Osborne and wife, Cheryl, of Farmington, Mike Osborne and wife, Debra, of Industry, and Scott Osborne of Industry; eight grandchildren, Lillian, Frank W., Ira, Caleb, Dennifer, Nichole, Cody and Jolene; two great-grandchildren, Jason and Andrew; two sisters; three brothers; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her mother-in-law, Alice Osborne.
She was predeceased by her parents; her father-in-law, Frank O.; and her sister-in-law, Helen.
