PORTLAND — Timothy Ellsworth Decker Sr., 61, of Farmington, died Friday evening, Sept. 13, at Maine Medical Center.

He was born May 3, 1952, in Farmington, a son of Ellsworth and Flora (Piper) Decker. He was a 1971 graduate of Mt. Blue High School and on July 1, 2000, married Sandra Allen in East Dixfield.

For 17 years he was employed at the Wilton Tanning Co. and for many years was a truck driver for Schiavi Leasing of Oxford.

He attended the New Hope Baptist Church. Whenever possible, he spent time helping his family improve their homes or tinker on their automobiles. His hobby was his family and teaching them how to love and care for one another.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Decker of Farmington; his children, Elizabeth Decker and her companion, Jimmy, of Chelsea, Timothy E. Decker Jr. and his companion, Sheila Hathaway, of Farmington, Matthew H. Decker Sr. and his companion, Carrie Barker, of Farmington; stepchildren, John Clark and his wife, Donna, of Lee, N.H., Frances Moreau and her companion, Michael Kondas, of Jay, David Clark of Rumford, Nyoka Clark of Arizona, Callie Mason and her husband, Dave, of Rumford, and Sandra “Jr.” Cautillo and her husband, Joe, of East Dixfield; grandchildren, Timothy Decker III (TJ), Lyndsey Decker, Matthew Decker (JR), Sebastian Decker, Dylan McFalls, Jasmine Charles, Cleon Charles Jr. (Scotty III); and several stepgrand- and great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his siblings, Author E. Decker, Etta M. Decker and Kendall B. Decker.
