LEWISTON — The YWCA of Central Maine will offer a six-week session of hip hop dance classes for youth ages 4-12. Classes will be held on Thursday evenings from Oct. 10 to Nov. 21. Participants will learn basic hip hop steps which they will combine into a routine by the end of the session.

Classes will be taught by choreographer Melissa Quintana, who has more than 15 years of dance experience. She has attended dance schools for the gifted and talented in Virginia Beach and has also taught several hip hop classes in the Brunswick area and at the YWCA.

The six-week session costs $45 and will take place in the gym at the YWCA, 130 East Ave. Session 1 for ages 4-7 will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. and Session 2 for ages 8-12 will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Limited space is available. Register by calling the YWCA 795-4050.
