1925 – 2013

AUBURN — Gloria V. Leask, 87, of Marshall Pond Road, Hebron, and formerly of Middle Road in Dresden, passed away Saturday, Sept. 14, at Clover Health Center.

She was born in Portland on Oct. 10, 1925, a daughter of Mildred Emma Littlejohn. She attended Winthrop schools and graduated from Cony High School in 1945. She married Warren H. Leask in 1946, and moved to Dresden.

She received her certified nurse’s assistant license and was employed as an aide for people in their homes. She moved to Bath in 1976. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, knitting, gardening and crafts. She was a member of the Cosmopolitan Club and its Drama Club, the Bath Area Senior Center and the Bath Seventh-day Adventist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Jean Grover-Bridges and her husband, William, of Jefferson and Sharon Glover and her husband, Frank, of Hebron; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Warren H. Leask, on Sept. 18, 1967; and her son, William David Leask, on Feb. 2, 1974.
