VFW holding public breakfast

PARIS — A public breakfast will be held from 6:30 to 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at the VFW Post 9787, lower Main Street. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for ages 12 and under.

A bottle drive will also take place on that day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners at the Lewiston Armory on Sept. 23 were as follows: N/S, first, Mary Trafton and Luke Merry; second, Richard Balian and Rosemarie Goodwin; third, Ellie and George Wigton; fourth, Cindy Kirchherr and Jim Krainin; first in B, Ellie and George Wigton; second, Cindy Kirchherr and Jim Krainin.

E/W, first, Hazel Glazier and Nancy Farmer; second, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe; third, Jeanine Kivus and David Lock; first in B, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe; second, Cynthia and Bill Clifford.

Winners on Sept. 24 were: first, Paul Sherman and Mike True; second, Richard Balian and Fred Letourneau; third, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe; fourth, Luke Merry and Mike Quinn; fifth, Jeanine Kivus and Patricia Quinn; first in B and C, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe; second in B, Marta Clements and Nancy Farmer.
