The Washburn-Norlands Living History Center in Livermore recently received a $5,000 matching grant to its capital campaign from the Otis Federal Credit Union, headquartered in Jay. In order to receive the funds, the center must raise $5,000 by Oct. 31. The Norlands’ campaign goal is $250,000 to rebuild an 1860s barn that burned in 2008. The barn is an educational classroom, a home for the center’s farm animals and a place for lively barn dances and harvest activities. For more information go to www.norlands.org. At the matching gift announcement were, from left, Ryan Souther, public relations for Otis, Sheri Leahan, Norlands’ director, and Roland Poirier, Otis president and CEO.
