BARTLETT — Gerald E., 85, of Monmouth, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, in Chelsea. A private funeral service will be held with military honors at Gracelawn Memorial Park. Arrangements under the care of BRAGDON-FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 707 Main St., Monmouth.

MARTIN — Lilla E., 85, of South Paris, died in Auburn on Wednesday, Sept. 25. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, Sept. 29, at 1 p.m., at Hicks Cemetery in Greenwood. Family and friends may attend visitation on Sunday morning from 10 a.m. to noon at Chandler Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, 45 Main St., South Paris. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Hospice House, 236 Stetson Road, Auburn, ME 04210.

PLANTE — Remi L., 95, died in Tampa, Fla., on Tuesday, Sept. 24. Funeral services with military honors will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 28, at the MEADER & SON FUNERAL HOME, 3 Franklin St., P.O. Box 537, Rumford, with the Rev. Jane C. Rich officiating. Interment will be in the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Augusta. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home after noon on Saturday, prior to the funeral.

SMITH — Lucille Knowles (Rich), 95, of Livermore Falls, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, in Auburn. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 28, at FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church St., Livermore Falls. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., prior to the funeral service. Interment will be at Pleasant View Cemetery, 51 Fayette Road, Livermore Falls. TAYLOR — James W. Jr., 91, died Thursday, Aug. 1. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28, at 10 a.m., at the First Congregational Church, 17 E. Main St., South Paris. Burial will be on Monday, Sept. 30, at 1 p.m., at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Augusta. Arrangements are under the direction of Oxford Hills Funeral Services, 1037 Main St., Oxford.
