DAMARISCOTTA — Some of local history’s mysteries may be revealed when the Lady in the Red Cloak visits the Saturday, Oct. 5, meeting of Maine Media Women at the Mobius Center from 9:15 a.m. to noon. The public is welcome to attend.

The Lady in the Red Cloak, aka Sally Lobkowicz, is well known in midcoast Maine for her haunted history and cemetery tours in the area, especially in the weeks preceding Halloween.

A teacher with more than 30 years of experience and a seasoned genealogy researcher, Lobkowicz has taken her love for learning and delved into the world of mysteries, haunted mansions, lost treasures and undiscovered history.

Her Red Cloak Haunted History Tours are in their eighth year, and Lobkowicz has recently created an international adventure enterprise called “Mysterious Destinations,” which will take people to far-flung parts of the U.S. and abroad to investigate paranormal phenomena and other mysteries.

The meeting will begin with coffee and networking at 9:15 a.m., and the program will begin at 10. Suggested donations are $3 for MMW members and $5 for nonmembers.

For more information, visit www.mainemediawomen.org or the organization’s Facebook page, or contact MMW President Genie Dailey at finepoints1@aol.com or at 549-5518.
