A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Roland Joseph Cote was celebrated 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 27, at Parish of the Holy Savior. Fr. Greg Dube was the celebrant. Bernard Poirier was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were “The Old Rugged Cross,” “J’irai la voir un jour,” and “Let There Be Peace On Earth.” The Old Testament was proclaimed by his granddaughter Corrie Lamkin. The New Testament was proclaimed by his son in law Dick Blackman. Offertory gifts were presented by his nephew Norman Bourgoin and his niece Rita Mercurio. Personal reflections were shared by his grandson Clifford Blackman. Interment with military honors rendered by the Maine Funeral Honor Guard was in St. John Cemetery. Pallbearers were his grandchildren, Ian Theriault, Clifford Blackman, Christopher Cote, Ryan Cote, Corrie Blackman, Kevin Lamkin and Keith Lamkin. A reception was held at the American Legion. Services were under the care and guidance of SG Thibault Funeral Home, 250 Penobscot St., Rumford.
