AUBURN — The Maine Oxy Group will host the inaugural Maine Oxy Charity Golf Tournament in support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine. The tournament will be held on Saturday, Oct. 19, at Prospect Hill Golf Course, 694 South Main St.

All proceeds from the tournament will be donated to help make wishes come true for children battling life-threatening medical conditions across Maine.

“This is an opportunity for everyone to help support an amazing organization,” said Dan Guerin, president of Maine Oxy. “We’re big supporters of the incredible work done by Make-A-Wish Foundation here in Maine and across the country. By organizing this tournament, Maine Oxy hopes to give a whole lot back to help grant more wishes to many local children.”

Maine Oxy is currently offering hole sponsorships for $100 per hole, as well as additional sponsorship opportunities to enable other local businesses to make significant group donations. To play in the tournament, tickets cost $70 per player, $280 per team with a limit of 36 teams or 144 players.

The tournament will also feature a $15,000 hole-in-one challenge, a putting contest, a near pin contest, a long drive contest, grab bags, door prizes and a 50/50 raffle. The event schedule includes 9 a.m. breakfast and registration, a shotgun start at 10, a buffet lunch at 3 p.m. and awards to follow the lunch.
