1920 – 2013

FT. MYERS, FLA. — Kerstral S. Davis, 92, passed away on Friday, Sept. 13, in Ft. Myers, Fla.

Kerstral was born on Oct. 26, 1920, in Durham. She was the daughter of Altie and Julian Sylvester. Kay graduated from Solon High School in 1938.

Kay and Carrol moved often with the WT Grant Company. They lived in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Vermont prior to retiring in Westfield, Mass., in 1976, where they resided until 2003, when they moved to Ft. Myers, Fla. Throughout the years, she was an avid gardener and enjoyed caring for her flower gardens in their many homes. Christmas was especially important to Kay and she decorated her homes with many Christmas decorations. She had a Santa collection of over 300 Santas which were donated by her to Cypress Cove Health Park because she wanted many people to enjoy them for years and years.

She is survived by her son, Larry and his wife, Donna; and her brother, David Sylvester of Ft. Myers, Fla. There are two great-grandchildren, Lindsey and Annie of Chicago, Ill. Kay was especially proud of her many nephews and nieces, all of whom she kept in contact with throughout the years.
