New benches at UMF’s Abbott Park in time for Charter Day

: Workers prepare bases for three new benches in Abbott Park overlooking Rollo Pond on the campus of the University of Maine at Farmington on Monday. The work is in preparation for a park celebration, unveiling of a student community service project and ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. on UMF’s Charter Day, Oct. 9. The event is one of several to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the signing of the university’s charter. The bench work was done by Grimaldi Concrete Floors of Jay.
