Funeral services with military honors for Remi L. Plante of Tampa, Fla., and formerly of Rumford, for many years, were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford, with the Rev. Jane C. Rich officiating. Music selections included “Navy Hymn,” and “How Great Thou Art” and special music “I Believe” from the CD Sweet Melodies by pianist Linda Dyer. Military honors were conducted by the Maine Military Funeral Honors Program from Augusta. Interment will be at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Augusta.
