Tables available for rent at fair

RUMFORD — The Beacon House Peer Center will hold a fall craft fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Rumford Eagles Hall, Oxford and Rumford Avenue.

There will be crafts, bake sale items, Chinese Auction, children’s corner, lunch, and karaoke with Laura Krech.

The Peer Center is a social club for adults with behavioral, mental and physical disabilities. It is also a resource and peer support for people in need of extra help during hard times.

To reserve a craft table for $15, call the center during the day at 369-0868 or Dorie Oakes at night at 357-4075 or 364-7108.

Trail Blazers to meet at town hall

MEXICO — The Mexico Trail Blazers will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, at the Mexico Town Hall. All are welcome. Those who would like to join the club may attend a meeting or call Nick Brown at 364-8665.

Mexico class to meet at Chicken Coop

MEXICO — Mexico High School Class of 1953 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, at the Mexico Chicken Coop. Classmates and guests are welcome.

Peer center to hold annual dinner

RUMFORD — The Beacon House Peer Center will hold the annual spaghetti dinner at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Rumford Eagles Hall, Oxford and Rumford Avenue.

A Chinese auction, karaoke and dance will be held until 10 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at 3 Canal St.

Sportsman’s Club to meet

DIXFIELD — The Webb River Sportsman’s Club will have a supper and meeting on Monday, Oct. 7, at the club, Canton Point Road. The supper will be at 6 p.m., followed by the meeting. Members, guests and new members are welcome.

Circle to install year’s officers

RUMFORD — St. Timothy Circle 504, Daughters of Isabella, will hold installation of officers at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the Holy Savior Church. The monthly meeting will follow at the church hall.

Committee members are Chairwomen Andrea Gurney and Nancy Martineau, Julie Salatino, Linda Merrill, Lilly Burns, Kathy Kellogg, Sharon Gates, Janet Hooley and Barbara Pelletier.

Gladys Gilbert holds a 60-year membership. Sylvia Touchette was welcomed as a new member. Member Rita Towle has died.
