RUMFORD — The Rumford Historical Society is sponsoring a car pool trip to tour the Pulp and Paper Museum at 24 Church St., Livermore Falls, on Wednesday, Oct. 9.

The cars will leave from the River Street entrance to the Town Hall at 8 a.m. Lunch will be selected from the menu, at each individual’s expense, at the nearby Mill Street Café in the restored train station in Jay.

Those interested in attending who have not returned their tear-off slip from the list of events for the Historical Society should contact Jane Peterson at 369-9288 to indicate if planning to attend.

They should also indicate whether they will drive their own car; offer a ride to others (how many); or will need a ride. Notify Peterson no later than 8 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, so reservations can be made.

The tour is open to the public.
