FARMINGTON — A Mass of Christian Burial for Arthur “Artie” Kane, of Wilton, was held Monday morning, Sept. 30, at 11 a.m., at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Middle Street, Farmington, with the Rev. Thomas Lequin officiating, following a family prayer service at the Wiles Remembrance Center, 137 Farmington Falls Road, Farmington.

The Old Testament was read by his daughter-in-law, Carole, and the New Testament was read by his oldest son, Michael Kane. The gifts were offered by his sons, Gavin Kane and Timothy Kane. Pallbearers were his nephews: David Kane, Joseph Kane, Bob Kane, Bill Kane, Seth Kane, Brion Kane and Art Kane. Family friend Kip Fletcher read the family eulogy, written by son, Gavin Kane.

Committal services with full military honors provided by Camp Keyes, the Frank L. Mitchell VFW Post 3335, the Lane Dube AMVETS Post 33 and the George Bunton American Legion Post of Livermore Falls were held Monday afternoon at 3 p.m., at Lakeview Cemetery, Wilton.
