GRAY — Sean Murphy fired a 25-yard shot from the right side into the net with 19 seconds left in regulation to give Poland a 2-1 win over Gray-New Gloucester in a WMC matchup Tuesday.
Eric Wilcox gave the Patriots (1-6) a 1-0 lead early in the second half before Sean Mitchell tied things up for the Knights (1-7-1).
Zack Lowe made eight saves for Poland, while Brendan McNally deflected two shots for Gray-New Gloucester.
Lewiston 10, Lawrence 0
LEWISTON — Abdi Shariff-Hassan and Issak Hussein combined four four goals as Lewiston routed Lawrence 10-0 in KVAC boys’ soccer action.
M.K. Mohamed, Abdulkarim Abdulle, Ibrahim Mohamed, Ibrahim Hussein and Hassan Hussein all tallied a goal for Blue Devils on the day. Austin Wing needed just one save in goal for the shut out. Zach Alley and Nick Blomerth split time in net for the Bulldogs, stopping 10 shots together.

Mt. Blue 3, Lewiston 1
LEWISTON — Victoria Newbill smacked two goals into the back of the net, giving Mt. Blue the edge as the Cougars topped Lewiston 3-1 in field hockey action.
Mikayla Oswald fired a goal into the net for the Cougars (8-2), while Krista McLatchy and Newbill added an assist. Tamica Connor scored the lone goal for the Blue Devils on a feed from Janessa Talarico. Kaylyn Labonte made eight saves for Lewiston.
Lake Region 4, Poland 1
POLAND — Lucy Fowler rattled three goals into the back of the net for a hat trick, as Lake Region cruised past Poland 4-1 in field hockey play.
Destinee Durant helped Fowler’s efforts with a goal of her own, while Abby Scott-Mitchel had an assist for the Lakers (7-3). Ainsley Parent scored the lone goal for the Knights (1-8), while Liz Callahan turned back 11 shots.
Leavitt 2, MCI 0
PITTSFIELD — Meagan Dow and Sadie Royer each scored a goal in the first half Tuesday as Leavitt rolled to a 2-0 victory over MCI in KVAC field hockey action.
Emily Shaw and Brianna DeGone also contributed for the Hornets (7-3) in a balanced attack. Sierra Santomango needed only two saves to preserve the shutout.
Oxford Hills 1, Cony 0
AUGUSTA — Abby Angevine converted a pass from Hayley Wakefield just 11:46 into the contest to give Oxford Hills a 1-0 win over Cony in KVAC field hockey action Tuesday.
Veteran keeper Shannon Fillebrown made eight saves for the Vikings (6-4) to preserve the shutout. Liz Dennison turned back two shots for Cony (6-2) in a solid effort.
Skowhegan 9, EL 0
SKOWHEGAN — Lauren LeBlanc scored four goals and Brooke Michonski added three as undefeated Skowhegan (10-0) sailed past Edward Little (0-10) with a 9-0 win in a field hockey game Tuesday.
Cassidy Clement added two goals for Skowhegan, which outshot the Red Eddies, 49-1. EL goalie Danica Nadeau was forced to make 40 saves.

Buckfield 3, Valley 0
BUCKFIELD — The Bucks spread the ball around well, using three different scorers to secure the 3-0 victory over Valley in girls’ soccer action.
Bri Damon, Abby Campbell and Kali Litchfield all netted a goal on the day, while Litchfield and Alexis Bennett made an assist each. Arrabine Dunn only needed to make 1 save to secure the shutout for the Bucks (6-3-1).
Lawrence 5, Lewiston 0
FAIRFIELD — Taylor Martin found the back of the net three times as Lawrence routed Lewiston 5-0 in KVAC soccer action Tuesday.
Jilli McAllister worked well with Martin, adding in two goals of her own, while Mikaela Beane assisted on a goal for the Bulldogs (3-4-1). Paige Belanger had a stellar day in net for the Bulldogs, stopping all 15 shots.
Kelsey St. Cyr made 15 saves for the Blue Devils (0-6-1).
Edward Little 5, Mt. Blue 0
FARMINGTON — Kory Norcross and Taylor Landry supplied the red-hot Red Eddies offense with a pair of goals each, as they flew past Mt. Blue 5-0 in KVAC soccer action.
Calli Murray helped out the Red Eddies with a goal and an assist, while Molly Murray made 10 saves in net for the shutout. Thia Bridges had an active day in net, making 18 saves on 25 shots for the Cougars (3-4-1)
Spruce Mountain 3, Monmouth 1
MONMOUTH — Spruce Mountain utilized three different scorers to give it the edge as the Phoenix topped Monmouth 3-1 in MVC girls’ soccer action Tuesday.
Hayley Doyen, Megan Duval and Mikayla Holt all tallied goals for the Phoenix (7-2). Emily Keene made 13 saves in net for Spruce Mountain, while Mikayla Cameron stopped seven for the Mustangs (6-2).
Kylie Kemp tallied the only goal for Monmouth on the day.
Lisbon 6, Telstar 3
LISBON — After a 1-1 deadlock at the break, Lisbon erupted for five goals in the second half to pull out a 6-3 win over Telstar in a hotly-contested MVC girls’ soccer tilt Tuesday.
Kailyn Hill led the Greyhounds’ (5-3) rally with a pair of goals, while Renae Samay-Houle, Deliah Schriver, Paige Galligan and Olivia Bulgin also tallied to complete the scoring.
Ali Purnick, Jordan Kulig and Maddie Prentice all tallied for the Rebels (0-7-2). Alexander Sult made two saves for Lisbon, while Casey Blasczak and Mallory Corriveau combined to deflect 11 shots for Telstar.
Wiscasset 4, Dirigo 0
DIXFIELD — Sarah Hanley registered a hat trick Tuesday to propel Wiscasset to a 4-0 romp over Dirigo in an MVC girls’ soccer tilt.
Shania Marr also tallied for the Wolverines (6-3) to complete the scoring.
Kayla Gordon needed only one save to preserve the shutout, while Mariah LaFleur turned aside seven shots for the Cougars (3-5).
Hall-Dale 11, Winthrop 0
WINTHROP — Evan Shepherd and Maura Stottler netted three goals apiece Tuesday as Hall-Dale overpowered Winthrop 11-0 in MVC girls’ soccer action.
Lexi Bourne, Thea Sweet, Lilly Ly, Emily Maynard and Emma Begin also tallied for the Bulldogs (6-1-1) to complete the scoring.
Olivia Maynard and Kayla Johnson made two saves for Hall-Dale, while Hailey Choate deflected 30 shots between the posts for Winthrop.
Nokomis 2, Leavitt 1
TURNER — Kelsie Richards scored her second goal of the contest with just 23 seconds left in regulation to give Nokomis a 2-1 win over Leavitt in a KVAC matchup Tuesday.
Both of Richards’ goals were scored on breakaways, as the Nokomis (3-4-1) got revved up. Tatianna Sierra struck a long 25-yard shot over the Nokomis keeper to put the Hornets (3-5-1) on the board.
Becky Orcutt made nine saves for Nokomis, while Angela Daigle turned back five shots for Leavitt.
Oak Hill 3, Mountain Valley 2
WALES — Meagan Crosby found the net at the 8:01 mark to lift Oak Hill to a 3-2 win over Mountain Valley in girls’ soccer action Tuesday.
Kaitlyn Virgin gave the struggling Falcons (1-7) a 2-0 advantage in the first frame with a pair of unassisted goals. Lauren Beganny converted a pass from Kayla Jones to put the Raiders (4-3-1) on the board. Toni Pushard-Hart tied the game at 2-2 for Oak Hill.
Kelsey Collins made 10 saves for Oak Hill, while Samantha Higley (12 saves) finished off the game after starting keeper Karen Flaherty (10 saves) suffered an injury.
Gray-New Gloucester 1, Poland 0
POLAND — Maria Valente scored a goal just five minutes into the game Tuesday to give Gray-New Gloucester a 1-0 win over Poland in another WMC tilt.
Valente scored off her throw-in which deflected off the keeper. Zoe Adams made 11 saves for the Patriots, while Erin Brewer turned aside 12 shots between the posts for Poland.

Colby 4, UMF 0
WATERVILLE — Senior captain Emily Anderson had two goals and one assist as the Colby College women’s soccer team scored two goals in each half in a 4-0 victory over University of Maine at Farmington on Tuesday.
WESTON, Mass. — A goal in the 50th minute of play was enough for Regis College to get past Thomas College 1-0 in a non-conference women’s soccer game on a warm Tuesday afternoon at Regis Stadium.
Coming out of the break, the Pride picked up their tempo and began to apply early pressure onto the Terriers. It paid off a little over four minutes in when forward Adena Joseph got on the end of an Abreu cross to find the back of the net for the eventual game-winner.
Rachel Gagnon who made four saves for the clean sheet, is now the all-time program leader for shutouts in a career with 11. Sophomore Kajsa Kaufeldt led Thomas with a pair of shots, one of which was on frame. Thibodeau finished with 15 saves for the Terriers.
Bowdoin 6, USM 0
BRUNSWICK – The Bowdoin women’s soccer team recorded its third consecutive shutout in a 6-0 win over the University of Southern Maine on Tuesday afternoon.
Kiersten Turner started off the scoring for Bowdoin just under ten minutes into the opening half. The Polar Bears second goal came with 16:54 off the clock as Kathleen Smith sent a long ball into the 18 where Popolizio connected with a header towards Audrey Phillips who chipped the ball over Southern Maine’s Katie Cobb.
Cobb and Temple each played one half in net for the Huskies combining for 23 saves. Bridget McCarthy started in net for the Polar Bears and recorded a pair of stops before Casey Krause came in for the final twenty minutes.
BIDDEFORD — Bates College volleyball lost in straight sets 3-0 (25-16, 25-13, 25-19) to the University of New England inside Harold Alfond Forum on Tuesday night.
Sophomore Brynn Wendel paced the Bobcats with seven kills while classmate Abby Leberman and first-year Nicole Peraica each posted five kills.
For UNE, Maria Kuehl led all players with 30 assists, and Kirsta Adie notched a match-high 10 digs.
The hosts built off their set one momentum in the second set staking leads of 5-0 and 15-5 despite two kills from Wendel. UNE held a lead as large as 20-8 in the second stanza.
Trailing 18-12, the Bobcats used a 4-1 spurt to cut the UNE lead to 19-16 with Peraica contributing a kill and a block assist during the streak, but the visitors could get no closer the remainder of the set.
