AUBURN — The West Auburn Church will hold its fourth annual Apple Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5.
The event will include a luncheon, bake sale with some of the finest homemade pies, craft table, raffle items and new this year a children’s craft area to keep the kids busy while parents shop.
The fair will benefit the Barbara Lawrence Spiritual Growth Fund that was established to encourage women of the church to attend spiritual events such as the Woman @ the Well program at Pilgrim Lodge in West Gardiner.
A luncheon will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $6 adults, $3 children 5-12 and free for children under 5. The menu will feature chicken and apple salad sandwiches, apple sausage quiche, corn quiche, Waldorf salads, homemade applesauce and peanut butter and apple jelly sandwiches.
The women of the church are the organizers and sponsors of the fair and include Dianne O’Connor, Donna Cote, Kathy Decker, Mary Bucker, Wendy Gilpatric, June Spear, Holly Lasagna and Pat Castner, along with many other bakers and crafters.
