1954 – 2013

TURNER — Darlene H. Ross, 59, of Turner, passed away Tuesday morning, Oct. 1, at her home.

She was born in Marshfield on Feb. 7, 1954, the daughter of Harvey J. Harmon, Korean War veteran, and Lorraine E. (McGuire) Harmon. She grew up in the Marshfield and Machias areas, and attended local schools there. She was a graduate of Machias Memorial High School, Class of 1972. On Oct. 21, 1987, Darlene married Warren Ross at their home in Minot.

Darlene very much enjoyed working for Avon; she was a representative for more than 20 years. She loved to cook and according to her family, was very good at it. She also liked canning foods and taking care of her family and cats.

She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Warren “Skip” Ross of Turner; her parents, Harvey and Lorraine Harmon of Marshfield;  and her daughter, Heather Stergas of Turner. She also leaves behind her three brothers, Ricky Harmon and his wife, Carla, of Roque Bluffs, Jayson Harmon and his wife, Charlotte, of Jonesboro, and Randy Harmon and his wife, Tammy, of Marshfield; as well as two uncles, Bertrand McGuire of Cutler and Dennis McGuire of Florida; one granddaughter, Isabelle Rioux; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
