1943 – 2013
FARMINGTON — Sheila D. Haley, 70, of Rangeley went to be with the lord on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at the Sandy River Nursing home where she was lovingly cared for during the last year.
The daughter of Carl and Gwendolyn (Brackett) Kennedy, she was born on Sept. 27, 1943.
On Feb. 18, 1961, she married Gordon Haley of Rangeley, where they lived and raised their family.
She loved a good joke, family times, knitting, baking and just having a good time in general. She enjoyed camping for the family reunion at Mt. Blue State Park.
She was a member of many organizations in the Rangeley area including the Rangeley Fireman’s Ladies Auxiliary, Masonettes, T.O.P.S., and was a member of the Rangeley Congregational Church.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Gordon Haley; four daughters, Mildred Coyne and her husband, Rick, of Harpswell, Arlene Haley and her significant other, Norman Richardson, of Gorham, Donna Duchesne and her husband, David, and Roberta Morrill and her husband, Steve, all of Rangeley; seven grandchildren, Dustin and his wife, Katie, Daniel and his wife, Petra, Devin and his significant other, Tara, Haley, Amber, Eli and Sam; four brothers, Glenwood and his wife, Carol, of Carver, Mass., Montell and his wife, Marge, of Dixfield, Carroll and his wife, Sharon, of Rumford and Bryon of Mexico; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents Carl and Gwendolyn Kennedy; and a nephew, Rodney Kennedy.
