What has Mayor Robert Macdonald done during the past two years that you agree with? What has he done that you disagree with?

I think this council has worked well together over the past two years. We have accomplished many good things for our city.

We managed to keep city tax increases minimal even though we had over a million dollar revenue short fall from the state level. We worked with the economic development department to bring in new businesses to our downtown, such as Argo marketing that will add over 200 jobs to our city. Working with code enforcement, we have cleaned up alot of unsafe buildings throughout the city. At the request of landlords the parking bans have been changed to allow parking on the streets during winter months, and although we were not able to get full curb side spring cleanup back, we did increase hours at the landfill to give people better access to it . So in conclusion, we as a council were able to keep our city services and keep the tax increase minimal.

What should be done with Bates Mill No. 5?

100 percent of the people would like to see it be rehabbed sooner then later, and if it does not happen a large percentage would like to see it knocked down including myself.

I ran for council two years age to represent the constituents of ward 7. In doing so, I consistently work for maintaining and increasing services that the tax payers pay for. The majority of the time I vote the way my constituents want. I do my best to work for the people of ward7 and all residents of Lewiston.
