DEAR SUN SPOTS: I work at a 14-bed adolescent rehabilitation facility with children between ages 14 and 18. They have recently expressed a big interest in learning how to craft, anything from quilting and jewelry making to scrapbooking, to just making seasonal crafts.

The idea that they want to learn to do things that will keep them busy and out of trouble is awesome; however, like most programs today, funding is always an issue.

So if you have any crafts that you would like to donate, we would be so happy to get them. Call 207-649-7490 so I can coordinate a time with you to receive them. Thank you. — Ramona Mellows, [email protected]

GOOD MORNING, SUN SPOTS: I am in search of clean, small baby food jars with lids to work on craft projects with my students. I’d love as many as 300 to squirrel away for future projects, but small amounts will work, too.

If you have clean, small, baby food jars with lids and are somewhere between Rumford and Auburn, please consider letting me take them off your hands. Thanks! — Dianne, [email protected]

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Clover Health Care’s activities department is searching for crafters who could make table runners to decorate our tables for special and seasonal programs. We have 15 eight-foot tables and use white tablecloths for a neutral background.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: For the woman looking for adult bibs, I make and sell them for the craft fairs and have several on hand. She can contact me, but I don’t want my number published. — Katie, Lewiston

ANSWER: Once again, neither the searcher or the suppliers wants to publish their phone number. Makes it mighty hard for people to get in touch.

Katie was not clear about whether Sun Spots could publish her email, so Sun Spots decided to err on the side of caution. She now needs either Kay J. or Katie to consent to publication of her email so they can make a bib connection.

Sun Spots was puzzled about Katie’s reticent, since she might get a lot of business by submitting her contact information to the column.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I think I know answer to Chris’ Sept. 26 query searching for a hairstylist named Jennie; she went to Jenerations Salon on Minot Avenue in Auburn. I think the owner, Jennifer Arel Bosse, left JCP and took another Jen with her. — No Name via email

ANSWER: Sun Spots also received the following response to this query, but the name is a little different — Jeanie vs. Jennie. We’ll have to let Chris puzzle that one out.

Meanwhile, someone else may be looking for one of the stylists.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have been informed that some clients are searching for me since my fire last year. — Jeanie Cote, Jeanie’s Salon, 966-3100,  [email protected]
