WILTON — A man awaiting sentencing in a drug-overdose death case was arrested Saturday night after police randomly tested him and found illegal drugs in his system, police chief Heidi Wilcox said.
Wilton police arrested Seth Gordon, 23, at about 9 p.m. at his residence in Stoney Brook Trailer Park, Wilcox said.
He was taken to Franklin County Detention Center in Farmington where he remained Monday. He was expected to appear later in Franklin County Superior Court, she said.
Gordon pleaded guilty in September to a felony charge of unlawful furnishing of a scheduled drug to Marilyn Rider, who died of an overdose at her Farmington home in 2012.
Gordon and four others, including his father, Roy Gordon, have pleaded guilty in the case involving Rider’s death. Roy Gordon was Rider’s boyfriend.
Sentencing is expected to take place in November. A cap on a sentencing agreement would have Gordon serving two years of a possible five-year sentence.
