BOSTON, Mass. — Alvin W. Parker, 64, of North Providence, R.I., died Monday, Oct. 7, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
He was the devoted husband of Kathleen C. (Cambio) Parker. Born in Jay, he was a son of the late Wesley Carl and Winna Mae (Paul) Parker.
Alvin was a supervisor for juvenile probation for the Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth and Families for 33 years, retiring in 2008. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Jason A. Parker and his wife, Jennifer, of Westerly, R.I.; Meghann K. Parker and her partner, Lisa Sparks, of Blackstone, Mass.; and grandchildren, Jayden, Jack and Jenna. He also leaves his siblings, Aaron Stieben, Bessie Mae Loewe, Belinda Winter, Angie Veitch, Susan Smith, Jane Shaffer, Sarah Shink, Helen Goding and Priscilla Santellan; and many nieces and nephews.
