WILTON — Police are investigating the theft of a well cover and other items from a Route 2 home on Tuesday.
A resident came home and saw a white Toyota truck backing out of his driveway. He then noticed the cover to his well and other miscellaneous items were missing, Wilton Sgt. Chad Adams said Wednesday.
The man gave chase and got a partial license plate number, he said. The truck was headed toward Dixfield and got away.
If anyone has any information on the case, they are asked to call the Wilton Police Department at 645-4222.
