BANGOR (AP) — A 62-year-old Madison man sentenced to federal prison this week for possessing child pornography has pleaded guilty and was sentenced to state drug trafficking charges.

Lester Brown was sentenced Tuesday to almost six years in federal prison for possessing hundreds of child pornography images and videos on his home computer.

He pleaded guilty Wednesday in Somerset County Superior Court to two charges of unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs and was sentenced to two years in prison to be served concurrently to his federal sentence. Authorities said he sold prescription painkillers to an undercover a police officer in May 2012.

The Morning Sentinel (http://bit.ly/GOXVlJ ) reported that Brown’s attorney sought a lenient sentence because his client had no criminal record and was in declining health, with arthritis, diabetes and depression.
