March against biotech foods

PORTLAND — On National Food Day, Saturday, Oct. 12, a peaceful march against biotech GMO foods will be held at 2 p.m. in Market Square.

There will be a GMO-free picnic before the rally.

Legion holding free lunch, social

DIXFIELD — American Legion Post 100 and Auxiliary Unit 100 will hold a free lunch and social on the third Friday of every month starting Oct. 18 at 18 River Lane.

Doors will open at 11 a.m.

Donations are welcome.

SeniorsPlus at Norway Town Hall

NORWAY — SeniorsPlus, the Area Agency on Aging, will be at the Norway Town Hall from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23. Representatives will be on hand to answer questions or concerns.
