Jennifer Wixson to conduct service
NORWAY — The Rev. Jennifer Wixson will give a service titled “On the Backside of Sabbathday Lake” at 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, at The First Universalist Church of Norway, 479 Main St.
Wixson, a Quaker minister, farmer and author from Troy, will lead a pre-All Hallow’s Eve Service. The pastoral message combines real-life spooky stories about her time living across from the Shakers on Sabbathday Lake in New Gloucester combined with a religious history of the holiday we know today as Halloween.
Childcare is provided and social hour follows the service.
