Moore-Leamon to lead service

PARIS —  Silver Moore-Leamon will lead the 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, worship service at the First Universalist Church on Pine Street. The sermon title is “Making the Invisible, Visible.”

Music is under the direction of Donna Hurd and Sunday School is under the direction of Renee Wales. Fellowship and coffee will follow the worship service and all are welcome.

Childcare is available and the First Universalist Church is wheelchair accessible. Plans are under way for “Music on a Sunday Afternoon” to be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17. The public is invited and there is no charge; however, donations will be accepted at the door.

Church to host guest speaker

RUMFORD —  The Rumford Point Congregational UCC will host guest speaker, Ron McHugh, executive director of Oxford County Mental Health Services, on Sunday, Oct. 20. McHugh will offer information on mental health needs and services in the area.

Blessing of the Hands at church

WILTON — St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, corner of High and School streets, will honor local health care providers with a Blessing of the Hands at the 9:30 a.m. service Sunday, Oct. 20.

It coincides with the feast day of St. Luke, known as a physician and disciple of Jesus and is a day set aside to honor those who serve in the healing arts.

The service will include music, scripture reading and Holy Eucharist. All area health care providers are invited. For more information, contact the church at 645-2639.
