RUMFORD — Deliah Schneber snuck in front of the net and fired a short, clean shot with just two seconds left in the second overtime to give Lisbon a 2-1 victory over Mountain Valley.

Kaitlyn Virgin tied the contest for Mountain Valley (3-10) early in the second frame.

Veteran keeper Amy Sult made eight saves for the Greyhounds, while Karen Flaherty (seven saves) and Grace Briggs (15) split time in net for the Falcons. Briggs made her first varsity appearance after Flaherty suffered an injury in the second frame.

St. Dom’s 6, Boothbay 1

AUBURN — After jumping out to a commanding 4-0 advantage in the first half, St. Dom’s raced away to a 6-1 victory over Boothbay in a late-season MVC girls’ soccer tilt Thursday.

Faith Grady led the Saints (11-1-1) with two goals and one assist, while single tallies by Tia Rotolico, Emma Byrne, Jisoo Yoon and Kelly Pomerleau completed the scoring. Brenna Alley scored the lone goal for Boothbay (0-12-1) to prevent a shutout.

Pomerleau and Nicole Robitaille split time in net, combining for six saves in the contest.

Leavitt 2, Gardiner 0

TURNER —  With a pair of goals in the first frame and rock-solid defense, Leavitt sailed past Gardiner 2-0 in more late-season girls’ soccer action Thursday.

Victoria DeCoster picked up a nice cross from Liliana Cousineau to give the Hornets (5-7-2) a 1-0 lead. Amanda Poulin scored the game’s final goal with 3:52 left in the half when she converted a penalty kick.

Angie Daigle made seven saves to preserve the shutout, while Ally Day (nine saves) and Lauren Chadwick (three) split time in net for Gardiner.

Hall-Dale 1, Mt. Abram 0

FARMINGDALE — Maura Stottler converted a pass from Eva Shepherd at the 6:40 mark of the second half to give Hall-Dale a 1-0 victory over Mt. Abram Thursday.

The Bulldogs (10-1-2) outshot the Roadrunners (5-8) 13-2.

Olivia Maynard needed only two saves to notch the shutout, while Allie Lopez deflected eight shots for Mt. Abram.

Boys’ Soccer

Poland 1, Wells 0

POLAND — The Poland boys’ soccer squad secured a spot in the playoffs with a 1-0 victory over Wells on Thursday afternoon.

Kyle Radziszewski converted a pass from Lukas Johnson late in the second half to provide the game’s only goal.

Zack Lowe made five saves for the Knights (3-8-2) to preserve the shutout. Chandler Bridge deflected five shots between the posts for Wells (3-11).
