1943 – 2013

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. — Henry L. “Larry” Bussiere, 70, of Palm Desert, Calif., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 16, at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif.

Larry was born in Lewiston on May 8, 1943, the son of Henry O. Bussiere and Anita (Lebel) Bussiere. After graduating for Edward Little High School, he joined the U.S. Air Force and settled in California.

He was a loving and caring husband, with a passion for fishing and shooting. He worked for 40 years in restaurant management at Kentucky Fried Chicken and Sizzler’s. Larry was a member of the Rotary Club, NRA, SASS and 1000 Trails RV Club.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, the former Claudette M. Picard, of Auburn; two brothers, Roland Bussiere and spouse, Terri Bussiere, of New Gloucester and John Bussiere and spouse, Sharon Bussiere, of Graham, N.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; grandparents; and his brother, Denis Bussiere.
