RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy Garrett was celebrated Tuesday morning at the Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius-St. John Church, with the Rev. Greg Dube as the celebrant.
Rod Kuhl was the altar assistant and Mark Belanger was the organist. Musical selections were “Precious Lord Take My Hand,” “In The Garden” and “How Great Thou Art.” Tia Dunn sang “Ave Maria.” Readings were presented by her son-in-law, Bob Garrett. Presenting gifts to the altar were her granddaughters, Kayleigh Bowen and Mckayla Gray. Words of remembrance were given by Karen Dunn and Peter Perry. Pallbearers were Nicholas Perry, Mark Bonney, Robert Bonney, David Bonney, Christian Wick, Brandon Perry and Colby Bowen.
The Rev. Dube recited committal prayers at St. John Cemetery in Rumford. A reception was served by the Daughters of Isabella in the church hall. Arrangements were under the direction of the Meader & Son Funeral Home, Rumford.
