The Nezinscot Valley Music Boosters will host the fourth annual Chili & Chowder Cook-off at Buckfield Junior/Senior High School from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27. The Portland-based bluegrass band, Tricky Britches, pictured, will entertain while the public tastes and votes for the best chili and chowder. Listen to the music for free or join in the judging for $5. Desserts and coffee will be available. Proceeds benefit the Nezinscot Valley Music Boosters, a nonprofit group that supports the performing arts in the schools of Buckfield, Hartford and Sumner. Contact Meghan at 336-2557 to enter.
