OXFORD — Winifred Rosemond Nickerson Mulkern, 91, of Oxford, died on Saturday, Oct. 5, at her home.

She was born on Feb. 8, 1922, in Nova Scotia, the oldest child of Harold and Emma Nickerson and spent most of her life in Connecticut and Massachusetts.

She is survived by her brother, Norman (Peg) Nickerson; sister, Genevieve Soloninka; sons, Robert (Shirley) Mulkern, Harold/Bud (Sheila) Mulkern and Michael (Deirdre) Mulkern; daughter, Charlene (Ray) Gasperini; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren,

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Mulkern; her parents; sisters, Marie Folger, Elaine Nickerson and Bertha Janice Nickerson; brother, Harold Nickerson Jr.; daughters, Janice Downing and Kathy Gorham; nephew, Mark Lindquist; and great-great-grandson, Thomas Mulkern.
