Local, county and state police are hosting drug take-back sites Saturday, Oct. 26, as part of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.

More than 160 collection points have been set up in Maine to drop off unused and outdated medications for disposal.

This is the seventh annual collection. In April, 22,260 pounds of unwanted drugs were collected in Maine, according to Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety.

These sites will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday:

Auburn: Bedard Pharmacy, 359 Minot Ave.

Bethel: Oxford County Sheriff’s Office, 28 Mayville Road.

Bridgton: Bridgton Community Center, 15 Depot St.

Dixfield: Dixfield Police Department, 236 Main St.

Farmington: Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, 123 County Way.

Freeport: Freeport Police Department, 6 Church St.

Gray: Maine State Police, Troop B, 1 Game Farm Road.

Greene: Town Office, 220 Main St.
