As an active volunteer, I often see the same people participating in and attending community events. Larry Gilbert Sr. is someone who can frequently be seen smiling and happily greeting people at local activities, which is the role of a mayor and ambassador. He takes pride in Lewiston-Auburn, the diverse culture, his own Franco-American heritage, and his service to America as a Vietnam veteran.

He is the only mayoral candidate who had supported the development of The Lofts at Bates Mill, which created 48 apartment units in an otherwise empty eyesore of a building.

He has the leadership training and experience I want to see in a mayor, and a positive attitude toward Lewiston’s future that is contagious.

As a veteran, I proudly support Larry Gilbert Sr. for mayor on Election Day. He is the candidate Lewiston residents can be proud to call our ambassador.
