Vocal duo Lumiere to lead all-star line up of Irish music and dance

BATH — The Chocolate Church Arts Center will showcase fine Celtic music with the enchanting holiday show “Irish Christmas in America” on Saturday, Dec. 7. Highlighting Irish holiday traditions through music, story, song and dance, the family friendly show will feature some of Ireland’s finest traditional musicians playing Christmas carols and Irish ballads, lively instrumental tunes, and thrilling Irish dancing. Evocative photographic images will provide a backdrop to some of the rich historical traditions.

The 2013 tour will bring back acclaimed Sony-recording vocal duo Lumiere, featuring the angelic voices of Pauline Scanlon and Éilís Kennedy, with renowned guitarist Donogh Hennessy.

Séamus Begley will join in with his stunning vocal prowess and charming wit. Award-winning Irish step dancer Samantha Harvey will dazzle with her fancy footwork. The all-star band also includes Sean Gavin on flute and uilleann pipes, and Oisin Mac Diarmada of the award-winning Irish group Téada on fiddle.
