KENDUSKEAG — Police are investigating the death of a Brewer man who was struck by a vehicle after leaving a bar late Friday night or early Saturday morning.
The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department said Sunday that Branden Look, 24, of Brewer had been at the Wrong Turn Pub on Grant Road. The bar closed at 1 a.m.
At some point, Look left on foot and ended up lying on Higginsville Road, Deputy Ryan Fitch said.
It’s there that he was struck by an SUV driven by Dylan Pray, 21, of Kenduskeag, Fitch said. Look was pronounced dead at the scene.
Fitch said that Pray stopped his vehicle, called police and tried to render aid to Look.
An autopsy will be performed on Look, the deputy said. A blood sample was taken from Pray as state law requires when a driver is involved in a fatal accident.
No charges have been filed.
