SOUTH PORTLAND (AP) — Police say a 31-year-old man with a history of at least seven drunken-driving charges is now facing the same charge in Maine.

South Portland police say they arrested Lanny Griffin, most recently of Milton, Fla., at 1:20 a.m. Saturday and charged him with operating under the influence, operating without a license and other charges after pulling him over for speeding.

Police say records show Griffin’s driving rights have been permanently revoked in Florida due to four or more OUI’s, and are also revoked or suspended in Alabama, Nebraska and Kentucky. They say he’s now moving to Maine but doesn’t have a Maine license.

It was unclear if Griffin had a lawyer. A phone number listed in his name could not be located.
