TURNER — SAD 52 Adult and Community Education fall classes continues with Session 2 of Lots of Pots, which starts Wednesday, Nov. 13.

The pottery class is for beginners. Students get to experience all the parts of throwing on the potter’s wheel and learn basic clay work and techniques to make pots.

Session 3 of Success with Finances will be held Tuesday, Nov. 19.

Another SAD 52 sub training workshop will be held Thursday, Nov. 21. Discover school expectations, district support, lesson planning and classroom management skills. This is the first step in the substitute teacher application process. A high school diploma is required, college experience preferred.

SAD 52 will hold a ServSafe course from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 8 and 9.

The ServSafe manager’s certification program is the industry’s leading food safety and training and certification program. ServSafe® training also helps participants understand and identify all the food safety risks in an operation and provides them with knowledge to do their job.

Those with a ServSafe certificate may pass on their knowledge of food safety to other employees, and as of 2010, all 50 states recognize ServSafe certification.

The fee of $160(includes textbook and exam.
