Trail Blazers monthly meeting

MEXICO — The Mexico Trail Blazers Snowmobile Club will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, downstairs at the Mexico Town Hall, Route 2. All are welcome.

To become a member to help support the club, do so at a meeting or by calling Nick Brown, 364-8665.

Think Snow dance tickets and raffle tickets are available for the event on Jan. 11.

With the upcoming snowmobile season, the Trail Blazers are in need of firewood for the clubhouse. Donated firewood can be dropped off at the groomer building on Pine Street or call Nick.

Alder River turkey supper

BETHEL — A turkey supper will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Alder River Grange, 1895 Intervale Road.

Cost is $8 for adults, $3 for children under 12, and free for all military.

Public supper at ‘Green Church’

MEXICO — A public supper will be served at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Mexico Congregational Church, United Church of Christ (the “Green Church”), 163 Main St.

It will be a traditional roast turkey dinner with all the “fixin’s,” including homemade pies.

The price for adults is $8 and for children under 12, $3.

HomeMade Fair is Nov. 9

RUMFORD — United Methodist Church will hold its HomeMade Fair for the Holidays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at 455 Linnell St.

There will be a bake table, vintage jewelry, silent auction, krafters korner, Christmas corner, crafts and a corn chowder lunch.

Craft, food fair at Legion Post 24

RUMFORD — A craft and food fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at the American Legion Post 24 Hall, 184 Congress St.

A raffle and bake sale table will be available.

Breakfast and lunch will be served for a small charge.

The American Legion Auxiliary recently raised funds for boots for Maine homeless veterans, for local residents at the Veterans Nursing Home in South Paris and for children of deployed soldiers.
