PARIS — A Norway woman has been ordered to pay $19 in restitution to the Oxford Hills Booster Club after pleading guilty to stealing redeemable bottles and cans from the club’s bin near Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School in 2012.

The Boosters raise money to support athletic programs at the high and middle school levels and help organize youth sports programs in the community.

Tamisha Alice Nelson, 39, of 41 Beal St. was given a year to meet certain requirements and, if she does, the charges will be dismissed.

According to Assistant District Attorney Joseph O’Connor, Nelson was questioned by Norway police on Dec. 11, 2012, after she was seen transporting redeemable containers behind her bicycle and admitted to taking them from the Booster’s bin near the high school. He said a person also saw Nelson take the bottles from the bin.

Nelson has three prior convictions for theft, in 2006 in Cumberland County Superior Court and in 2011 in Oxford County Superior Court.
