Bishop to visit Christ Church

NORWAY — The Rt. Rev. Stephen T. Lane, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese, will visit the Christ Church on Sunday, Nov. 10.

There will be a working session with the Vestry, the elected board of lay people who run secular affairs of the church.

The celebration of the liturgy with the Bishop presiding and preaching will take place at the 11 a.m. service.

Music will be part of the celebration. A coffee hour will follow the service.

Topic: ‘On Earth As It Is…’

PARIS — “On Earth As It Is…” is the title of Silver Moore-Leamon’s 10 a.m. sermon at the First Universalist Church on Sunday, Nov. 10.

Music is under the direction of Donna Hurd, who is also coordinating “Music for a Sunday Afternoon” at 2 p.m. on Nov. 17.

Renee Wales is director of the Sunday School program. Coffee and fellowship will follow the worship service and all are welcome. Child care is available and the First Universalist Church is wheelchair accessible.
