Few of Mike Hathaway’s contending teams have had to grind out more wins. The deeper they go in the playoffs, the more useful that experience becomes for the Hornets.

Dragons couldn’t have asked for better preparation for Ben Lucas and Cony than Skowhegan’s Adam Clukey-led aerial power.

8. Marshwood (8-2)

Hawks have already put up 92 points in the postseason. Ten teams in the state went the entire eight-game regular season without scoring that many.

9. Waterville (8-1)

Suspensions or not, Purple Panthers were anything but undermanned against MDI.

10. Winslow (8-1)

Black Raiders made a statement with their simple, straightforward domination of Belfast last week.
